If everything is on track for tomorrow, according to Gametap's customer service knowledge base, a new version of the Gametap client with Windows Vista will be released tomorrow. As with all games, support is heavily dependant on what video card you have installed, and the driver version installed.

Also, in case you did not notice, there is a hidden easter egg in Gametap. Thats right. Go to search by title in Gametap and type in "Groove Champion" If you did this correctly, you will uncover a ...

In my last article I mentioned how bad Best Buy bites for their prices to install software.

Well... Heres a new one. Circuit City Firedog.

Look at their prices..... Software installation $29.99 Okay that sounds a little bit more reasonable then what I saw at Best Buy. But are some people going to use that just to install Junior's ABC 123 game because they dont know how? Better let Junior install it himself/herself. Turns out kids know much more how to operate their parents computers then...

Okay. So most of us are all suckers when it comes to new software. We really want it. We go out and by it. Now theres some of us out there that cannot use it? What? You can't use it? Im sorry to hear that. What should we do about it? Well, You can try and install it and set it up yourself. I can't promise you that it will work. I also can't promise you the stability of an O/S after installation. You're pretty much on your own. Unless you of course are a sucker to pay for help. Yep thats right. T...

I'm sure a lot of you got Windows Vista when it came out. But what about your games? Are they a throw-away because you think they will not work. The best thing you can do is try it first. Windows Vista has a built in mechanism to check for faults. If you try and run a game and it does not work as intended., Vista intercepts the problem, asks you if it ran correctly, if not then you push the option to rerun it in its preferred configuration. Most of the time this will do the trick. Well, I got ol...

I found this interesting read on Slashdot. Maybe some of you heard about it. Maybe some of you did not. It reads the following:

"Nvidia is facing a class action lawsuit for false advertising by not providing stable working drivers for Vista. Nvidia has been accused of closing threads on Nvidia's forum and banning users that request a response from Nvidia, post that their Nvidia hardware does not work under Vista, post that Nvidia software does not work under Vista, post that Nvidia is guilty ...

You are probably upset yet frustrated that you cannot play Gametap on Windows Vista right? Well according to their customer support area, on their scrolling ticker, Vista Support will come out on the 15th. This amazes me as lots of companies are scrambling around in record time to get their apps to work with Vista ASAP. So hang on tight guys, for those of you who are being deprived of your classic gaming fix, its worth the wait.

Maybe you are hyped up about the new Windows Vista. In fact I am pretty hyped up about it too. Lots of new features they are throwing at us. But come on now. Be honest. Are a majority of you upgrading because of the most talked about features, Aero, and Windows Flip 3D? Are those 2 features really worth the price to upgrade? Absolutely Not! In fact, I think its a scam for Microsoft to charge us more money for something we can get via third party enhancement programs for a cheaper price.Stardock ...

This is a thread I found on their site yesterday in their Gamesforum Community.

I will refer to this individual as "K" unless permission to use their full name was granted otherwise by the individual who wrote this post:

"Has anyone else noticed that all reference to THAT OTHER SITE'S games has been removed from the list of games in this forum?

I find this childish and a bit junior high!!

I have never ever been censored like this on ANY game site forum to which I belong and I really...

I recently purchased Konami's Arcade Live! USB Arcade Controller. It has 6 games. Gyruss, Contra, Time Pilot, Scramble, Track and Field, Yie Ar Kung Fu. Initially there were 5 at the start, but there was one more to download 2 months later after the product was released. Anyway it works like this. You plug int the controller to a USB Port. It installs Software. Once the software is installed, the controller automatically connects to the Konami Arcade Live Site where you have the opportunity to d...

I finally gave in. I bought Object Desktop 2007 this morning (actually my grandmother purchased it for me as an early Xmas Present). I got in my email box this morning a $10 off coupon for a purchase of $30 or more. So all in all Object Desktop 2007 only ended up costing $24.95 which was a real bargain! Its got so many goodies like Skin Studio Professional etc that my mind is just full of ideas on how to build a better desktop. Thank you Stardock for creating all these wonderful products. If you...

I know what people are probably thinking. This is spam. Yes I even thought this was spam. Until a good friend of mine that I talk to through the RealArcade Gamesforum Community mentioned this website. This new site distributes two free software applications per day to its visitors of its site without charge. These downloads are free of spyware and malware that would harm. There are limitations to this give away however:

1. They are given as is, without technical support from the original sof...

Last week, RealArcade Moderator / Product Manager Aaron Alberg said that Hidden Expedition Titanic, a Big Fish Games branded title would be available on RealArcade for a limited time. This had some people wondering about the future of these games. On Wednesday October 18th when the Game Guide update for the RealArcade software had updated, all Big Fish Games branded titles were pulled from the catalog of games for sale in the RealArcade client along with all the relevant discussion boards hosted...

Everyone remembers how fun Hoyle PC Games were.. I love them you loved them. Everybody loved them. They were the first series of games that changed the way we play casual board and puzzle type games on the computer. Every game they made was good up to the 2005 versions of the games. At that time, the 2005 version of Hoyle Board Games brought up a bug that plagued the 2004 version. Sierra managed to fix the 2004 version problem with Maximum Pool but when the game was moved to board games for 2005...
