So there you are , sitting at your desk, you have your eye on the favorite casual game, maybe 20 bucks a pop at the least. Expensive isn't it? But you say to yourself, ah what the heck, its worth it.HOLD IT RIGHT THERE.Ever see the Jewel Case section of your favorite store which carries PC CD-ROM Software? The game you were about to plunk a twenty on just might be in this isle for half the cost. One good example is Galactic Civilizations Complete from Stardock. I have seen these pop up at Circui...

So I am starting my second half of classes in community college in a few weeks. So I thought I would get myself a laptop to help me with my studies. Well its become more of a playtoy for me rather then a study aid, but thats a good thing in this world I live in.

Let me start out by saying that this laptop is very decent. I got it from Newegg for $499 and got approved for their credit card so that means no payments until 6 months from now.

Quick specs on this laptop as featured on Newegg (n...

Some of you who walk into your local Best Buy store may be wondering where all of the jewel case games and apps went? The truth is some Best Buy stores are sending them back into the warehouse simply due to lack of sales on them. This does not mean that they will not continue to sell games or software, just the ones in jewel cases $9.99 and under. This comes as a major dissapointment since some of their best games on their value shelf are a better bargain compared to the digital download counter...

Its now official. CompUSA has pulled out of the retail store business game. But are they a whole new business now that they are online only? The answer is no. Ever since the System Max acquisition of CompUSA, The only thing new to CompUSA is a site face lift... Wait.. haven't I seen that site layout before? The new CompUSA is nothing more then a TigerDirect.com with the CompUSA label slapped onto it. So there you have it. CompUSA once again does nothing to surprise us

Now , when I was using XP, I noticed that some programs, when you play video, it would not display, it would be black.

Now that I have Vista Premium, I play DVD movies, and watch TV and the issue has been fixed.

Is the way Video Overlays displays in Vista different then the way they display in XP?

Yep. This title is really hard to find in game stores. It's totally sold out in stores everywhere I went. So I finally ordered from Amazon through the market place and found it new for $39.99 It has 7 Metal Slug Games. 6 from the Neo Geo and the 7th was based on Atomiswave Arcade Hardware. For the most part, these games are arcade perfect. Once in awhile, things will get a tad bit choppy. But not to the point where its overly annoying and hard to deal with. The thing that bothers me about this g...

We all see it, we all love it, the many possible ways we can transform our desktop into something we can use even better then the original desktop look that came with your version of Windows. So with that in mind, how much have you downloaded from WinCustomize? To check the total, simply go to your profile page, and you will see the total amount that you have downloaded so far. Are you one who downloads non stop? One who downloads very little? Or one who downloads only when absolutely necessary...

So why am I writing this article? Maybe to let everyone know Federal Express screwed me over. I ordered a package through the official NHL Shop. A Peter Forsberg Flyers Jersey. (Okay so hes not on the flyers but thats not why I am writing this article) The order process went fine and all. This evening when I checked the delivery status of the package it said "Delivered" Oh really now.... Delivered at the front porch at 6:35pm. Thats funny. I say its funny because I was sitting in my bedroom with...

If you own a Adaptec Gamebridge AV 1400 or 1410, You may be wondering if this works on Windows Vista. Do a search on the internet and you will see many people have tried, but cannot get the installation CD to recognize the device and install the drivers. Here is the correct procedure for Vista:1. Keep your Adaptec Gamebridge unit unplugged from the USB Port.2. Insert the CD. When a box comes up, click on the option that allows you to browse the contents of the disc. 3. Double Click on the Softwa...

For those who are Gametap Subscribers running Gametap on 32 Bit Windows Vista, you will be happy to hear that Gametap has released an update this morning that cleans up the sound problems many have encountered in Windows Vista. Previously when trying to play the classic titles such as that from the Arcade or even Genesis Category the sound was scratchy and unbearable at times.

Man, this has been a good week, for not only Stardock, but me too. First Stardock releases Logon Studio For Vista, next comes the gold release of WB 5.5 for Vista, and now IconPackager Vista on Object Desktop! Not only have these programs changed how Vista Looks, but they also make Vista more fun and easier to use! Dont get me wrong, Windows Aero looks nice and all. But I do get tired of seeing that look. Its overplayed, just like a song could be on the radio. So Stardock. Heres a toast to you, ...

For some of you out there that subscribe to RealArcade's GamePass subscription service , you may have already received a letter in your email box that on the 27th, the price is going up to $9.99 a month. This, is outrageous. First Big Fish Games shows RealArcade to the door by discontinuing the distribution of their games on RealArcade, then we have the forums censorship scandal, and now this. A price increase. They are starting to get very greedy. Luckily I stopped my subscription service quit...
